OBIT SUMMERS, JOSEPHINE THOMASON

SUMMERS, Josephine Thomason, (Jo), 70, of Roanoke, died in a Salem hospital Friday, May 28, 1993. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Bible Book Sunday School Class, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Trainmen. She retired after 25 years service, with Double Envelope Corporation. Surviving are her husband, Jack C. Summers Jr., Roanoke; mother, Mrs. Rachel T. Thomason, Roanoke; great-nephew and wife, Daniel and Shelia Templeton, Reidsville, N.C.; great-niece, Anne Marie Templeton, Danville; great-great-nephew and niece, Justin and Jessica Templeton, Reidsville, N.C.; numerous cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. John D. Cochran. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 10 a.m. Sunday.
