OBIT REYNOLDS, DAVID WALTER
REYNOLDS, David Walter, 71, of Natural Bridge, died Friday, May 28, 1993,
in Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Born May 24, 1922, in Bedford, he
was the son of the late Robert Walter and Lenore Wright Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds
was retired from the U.S. Army with 21 years service, having served in World
War II and Korea, and retired as a correctional officer for the Natural Bridge
Learning Center. He was a graduate of Natural Bridge High School and Emmanuel
College, of Franklin Springs, Ga., and was a member of V.F.W. Glasgow Post No.
7578. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert,
Dell, Earl, and Maurice Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Bessie W.
Reynolds, Natural Bridge; two daughters, Denise Renee Reynolds, Lynchburg,
Sharon Leigh Reynolds, Durham, N.C.; one son, David Harrison Reynolds, Natural
Bridge; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ethel) Collins, Natural Bridge Station,
Mrs. Lloyd (Edith) Irvan, Lynchburg, Mrs. Clifford (Martha) Watkins, Natural
Bridge Station; two brothers, Harry Reynolds and Ashby Reynolds, both of
Natural Bridge Station; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted
Monday, May 31, 1993, at 3 p.m. from the Natural Bridge Station Pentecostal
Holiness Church with Rev. Conald W. Fogus and Rev. Barry Nall officiating.
Burial to follow in Glasgow Cemetery with graveside rites conducted by
American Legion Post No. 16 of Lynchburg. The family will receive friends from
7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
