OBIT CHISOM, HARRY EDWARD
CHISOM, Harry Edward ,71, of Roanoke, died Friday, May 28, 1993. Mr. Chisom
served in World War II in the U.S. Army with the 841st Engineer Aviation
Battalion. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Kayla Michelle
Dillon. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Bennett Chisom; two sons, Sherman
Lewis Chisom of Dallas, Texas, and Melvin Keith Chisom of Roanoke; one
daughter, Gayle Lynn Honts of Clifton Forge; one brother, Alton (Bud) Chisom
of Roanoke; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Atkins, Mrs. Carl (Edna) Simpson, Mrs.
Lawrence (Ruby) Kelley, Mrs. Ralph (Edith) Fisher, all of Roanoke, and Mrs.
Rufus (Alice) Aliff of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren, Michelle Cadd,
Clifton Forge, A1C Tracie Wheeler and husband, Marty of Frankfort, Germany,
Joshua, Megan, and Gillian Chisom, all of Texas. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday, June 1, 1993, at 10 a.m. at the Lotz Vinton Chapel with Rev. Robert
W. Lanier officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Rescue
Squad. Friends may call at the Lotz Vinton Chapel.
