FILM SOCIETY TO MEET JUNE 10

The Virginia Film Society, a regional program offering its members year-round access to film screenings and discussions, will hold its first meeting June 10 at Vinegar Hill Theatre in Charlottesville.

There, guests will screen Richmond filmmaker David Williams' new work, ``Lillian.'' Williams will discuss his work with the audience after the screening, as will writer Nikki Giovanni.

The Virginia Film Society is the membership program of the Virginia Festival of American Film, which is held every October at the University of Virginia. Memberships range from $10 to $35. For information, call (804) 924-FEST.
