OBIT-HYPES, LAURA TRENOR, ("TRIXIE")

HYPES, Laura Trenor, ("Trixie"), 94, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, May 30, 1993 in a Rich Creek Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hypes. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne M. and Audrey Hypes, Staunton, John W. and Nancy Hypes, Harrisonburg, C.D. and Harriet Hypes, New Castle; one daughter and son-in-law, Jean H. and William B. Bane, Pearisburg; one sister, Mary T. Duncan, New Castle; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethel United Methodist Church, New Castle, Craig County at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1. Officiating will be the Rev. David W. Breeden. Interment will be in Ross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Boitnott Funeral Home, New Castle Monday evening from 7 to 8:30. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Virginia Baptist Childrens Home, Salem.
