OBIT-KESSLER, SAMUEL JONES

KESSLER, Samuel Jones, 95, of Buchanan, died Sunday, May 30, 1993. He was preceded in death by his wives, Bessie Ann Scott Kessler and Virginia Madge Meredith Reed Kessler; parents, Andrew Thomas and Mary Camper Kessler; sisters, Lelia Lemon and Lucy Allen; brothers, Jess, Kline, and Eural Kessler. Sam was a member of the Bible Believing Baptist Church and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #151. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Guy S. and Audrey Kessler, Denver, Colo.; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Robert Meredith and Delores Reed, Roanoke, Douglas D. and Judith Reed, Buchanan; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Madge and Russell Pullen, Virginia Beach; sister, Margie Harlow, Buchanan; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; eight stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 1, 1993, at 11 a.m. in the Bible Believing Baptist Church with the Rev. Marshall Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Rader Funeral Home, Buchanan.
