OBIT-CAMP, VIRGINIA ROBERTSON

CAMP, Virginia Robertson, 72, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, May 30, 1993. She was born February 24, 1921 a daughter of the late Jim Tom Meeks and Sally Winnie Meeks and was a charter member of Furnace Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Golden (Joe) Camp; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marie and Kenneth Wray of Boones Mill, Arlene and James E. Arrington and Ocie R. Dillon, all of Rocky Mount; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy Robertson, Richard and Janet Robertson and Bobby Wayne and Becky Robertson, all of Rocky Mount; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Chancellor, Richmond, Mary Hodges, Rocky Mount; five brothers, James Meeks of Fieldale, Oliver Meeks, Joe Meeks, Junior Meeks, all of Rocky Mount, and John Meeks of Collinsville. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 1993 at Furnace Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Oscar Adams and Pastor Joe Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
