OBIT-THOMAS, GRADY LENON
THOMAS, Grady Lenon, 86, of Roanoke, died Monday, May 31, 1993, at his
residence. He was retired from Norfolk and Western East End Shops and a
charter member of Oak Grove Assemblies of God Church. Mr. Thomas had been a
patient of Roanoke Memorial Hospital dialysis unit for eleven years. He was
preceded in death by his parents William and Ida Thomas; two brothers, Okie M.
Thomas and J. Cleo Thomas and a granddaughter, Stacey Joell Rolley. Surviving
are his wife Mrs. Amy Simms Thomas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and
Johnny Younts, Liberty, N.C., Barbara and Kenneth Glass, Roanoke, Pat and
Richard Rolley, Boones Mill and a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Franc
Thomas, Roanoke; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be at Oakeys Roanoke Chapel, noon Wednesday, June 2, 1993, with
the Rev. Claude McKeel, Rev. John Wilson and Rev. Joe Bunnside officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends
from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakeys Roanoke Chapel.
