OBIT-O'CONNELL, MICHAEL W.

O'CONNELL, Michael W. 52, of Goodview, passed away Sunday, May 30, 1993. Mr. O'Connell has departed us from his beautiful lake setting home. Formerly of Charleston, S.C. he was an electrician and electrical foreman for Westvaco Corp. for 11 years, the South Carolina State Ports Authority Maintenance superintendent for 9 years, and field erection engineer for Canron Corp. Mr. O'Connell was senior product service engineer for G.E. since 1985 in Salem, Va. He is survived by his wife, Kitty C. O'Connell, Goodview; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Mitchel Griffin, Charleston, S.C.; Tammy and David Hardman, John's Island, S.C.; five grandchildren, Cliff Varnadoe, Brandon and Kalissa Malin, and Corey and Caitlin Hardman; mother, Ethel P. O'Connell, Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters, Marsha K. Foster, Greenfield, Ind., Karen Shockley and Cynthia Jean O'Connell, both of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Ken O'Connell, Gary O'Connell and Grant ("Pete") O'Connell, all of Indianapolis, Ind. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 3, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East Mortuary, Indianapolis, Ind., with burial to follow in the Washington Park Chapel, where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
