OBIT LOOPE, HOWARD GLYNN

LOOPE, Howard Glynn, 81, of Buchanan, died Monday, May 31, 1993. He was a life long member of the Wheatland Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Katherine W. Loope; one daughter and son-in-law, Ginger L. and the Rev. Tom Smith, Concord, N.C.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Mary Lee Loope, Cloverdale, Jimmy and Linda Loope, Roanoke, Bobby and Katie Loope, Buchanan; two brothers, Robert E. Loope, Buchanan, Lloyd L. Loope, Bluemont, Va.; six grandchildren, Glynn Loope, Michelle Loope, Laurie Loope, Jeffrey Loope, Brent Loope, Lacey Loope; two great-grandchildren, Tonya Chittester, Vicki Chittester. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, at 3 p.m. at the Wheatland Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Danny Whitener and the Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family sincerely wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wheatland Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
