OBIT BARNETT, MINNIE JONES

BARNETT, Minnie Jones, 61, of Price's Fork, died Sunday, May 31, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. Mrs. Barnett was born in Montgomery County on July 9, 1931. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy C. Jones. She is survived by her husband, Melvin V. Barnett; one daughter and son-in-law, Rita and George Sullivan; one son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Patricia Barnett; five grandchildren, Katie, Jennifer and Elizabeth Sullivan, Melanie and Monica Barnett, all of Price's Fork; her mother, Mrs. Lessie G. Jones, Blacksburg; three sisters, Virginia J. Harrison and Candace J. Lucas, both of Radford, Dolly J. Owens, Dublin; four brothers, Roy J. Jones, Radford, Bobby L. Jones, Murfreesboro, Tenn., David H. Jones, Roanoke, Donald G. Jones, Hardy. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Price's Fork United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam McPhail officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Price's Fork United Methodist Church, 4220 Price's Fork Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
