\ THREE ROANOKE VALLEY RESIDENTS, Marjorie W. Roach of Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dr. Robert L. McClanahan Jr. of St. Paul's Episcopal in Salem and Joy D. Frantz of Salem Presbyterian, have completed a four-year extension program, Education for Ministry, from the theological school of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. The program for laity covers intensive study of Scripture, Christian history and contemporary theological issues. The three attended weekly seminars for 133 sessions held at St. Paul's Church.
\ A CHRISTIAN SCIENCE LECTURE, "Your Home in God's Arms," is scheduled June 20 at 2 p.m. at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, 402 Second St. S.W. Roanoke's First Church of Christ, Scientist will sponsor the lecture, which will be presented by Margaret M. Campbell of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship in Boston. The free lecture has a focus of prayer in solving problems of homelessness.
A preliminary study session for the lecture is planned Saturday at 1 p.m. at 1155 Overland Road S.W.
