PEARISBURG PLANS ANNUAL FESTIVAL

The annual "Festival Around Town" sponsored by Pearisburg's Business and Community Association will begin June 18 at 5:30 p.m. with the Lions Club barbecue and a concert on the King Johnston School lawn.

On June 19, main-stage music will feature clogging, progressive bluegrass, country rock and rock 'n' roll music. There will be games, an art show and sale and children's activities. The official non-alcoholic, festival drink called Festival Fizz will be sold.

A sports card show will be held in the King Johnston School auditorium, and from 9-midnight, a teen dance will be held on the Pearisburg tennis courts. For more information on activities, call Marilyn Lisman at 921-1257 or Eric Zimmerman at 921-2642.
