NRV CRIME CLINIC PLANS MALL DISPLAY

The New River Valley Crime Clinic is sponsoring Emergency Services Day at the New River Valley Mall on Saturday.

Police cars will be set up in the mall, and various fire and rescue departments also will be present. Pamphlets will be available on services provided by the departments, such as Neighborhood Watch, property engraving and checks on the elderly.

McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand. Blacksburg Police Department will offer child fingerprinting. The Department of Game and Inland Fisheries' new boat, the Christiansburg Rescue Squad's crash truck and a Corvette and van seized by Floyd County authorities and now used for its DARE program will also be on display. The events begin at 10 a.m.
