The two top students academically - valedictorian Jeffrey Stephen Ford and salutatorian Jeff Van Dyke - will head to the same college - Virginia Tech.
Other honor students, those in the top five academically, are Ronnie Proffitt, Kim Reynolds and Sheryl Hannah.
School records show that of the 45 seniors who will graduate, 21 plan to continue their formal education - 19 of them at colleges in Virginia.
Ten of the graduates will attend four-year colleges and 11 will attend two-year colleges.
Twenty-two of the graduates plan to take jobs and two will enter the military - the Air Force and the Navy.
Last year's class of 34 graduates was an exceptionally small one, school officials said.
Ford, the valedictorian, has been a straight-A student since the eighth grade. His grade-point average exceeds 4.0.
Dallas Helems, superintendent of schools, said Ford is recognized as one of the highest-ranking Craig County students in many years.
Ford will go to Virginia Tech with scholarships totaling about $6,000. He plans to major in mathematics.
The scholarships come from the Virginia Scholars Program, the National Merit Scholarship program and Virginia Tech's math department.
He hopes to eventually earn a doctorate in math and teach on the college level, following in the footsteps of his mother, Fran, who is a math teacher at Virginia Western Community College.
