HARDWICK METRO'S TOP GOLF COACH

Virginia Tech's Jay Hardwick has been named the Metro Conference Golf Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year in a vote of his peers.

Hardwick, a former Hokies standout, guided Tech to the league title with a three-round total of 887 at Crooked Oaks Golf Course in Seabrook Island, S.C. Two of his players - senior Clayton Friend and sophomore Brian Sharp - were named to the All-Metro team.
