RESTAURATEURS TO GET MOTOR-COACH CONCERNS ADDRESSED

An information meeting to answer questions from restaurant owners and managers about the Family Motor Coach Convention will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Municipal Building.

The convention will be held on Virginia Tech's campus Aug. 3-5. More than 10,000 people are expected to attend.

Blacksburg Town Manager Ron Secrist said the information session is designed to help prepare restaurants for the large crowds from the convention.

"We want to make sure everyone is ready," he said.

Officials from the town, Tech and the Blacksburg Chamber of Commerce will be on hand to answer questions about the event, which is expected to bring $10 million to the local economy.
