OBIT-LAMBERT, ORA THOMAS

LAMBERT, Ora Thomas, 85, of 916 Woodland Drive, Rich Creek, Va., died Thursday, June 3, 1993, at her residence. She was born at Willowton, W.Va., on August 18, 1907. She was a member of the Glen Lyn Church of Christ at Glen Lyn, Va., and was in the first graduating class of the Oakvale High School, class of 1927, at Oakvale, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Druey Davis Lambert; two sons, Capt. Druey D. ("Buck") Lambert and an infant, Bobby Joe Lambert; a grandson, Terrial D. Thompson; two sons-in-law, Randolph E. Hill and John M. Reed; a sister, Oakley T. Davis; two brothers, James Coburn Thomas and Lloyd Thomas. She is survived by four daughters, Helen (Mrs. Randolph E.) Hill, Dublin, Va., Ruby (Mrs. John M.) Reed, Norma (Mrs. James E.) Brown, Agnes (Mrs. Paul) Neely, all of Rich Creek, Va.; a brother, Caudill A. Thomas, Princeton, W.Va.; two sisters, Opal T. Calfee of Baltimore, Md., and Kathleen T. Perdue, Narrows; five granddaughters; six grandsons; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five nieces and six nephews and several cousins. She also leaves two special friends, Mrs. Sadie B. Smith of Glen Lyn, Va., and Ronnie Elliott of Ashland, Ky. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Riffe's Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Mike Lynn of the Glen Lyn Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, Va. The family will meet their friends at Riffe's in Narrows Saturday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
