OBIT COOPER, PAUL AVERY

COOPER, Paul Avery, 98, of Roanoke, died Thursday, June 3, 1993. He was formerly of Union City, Pa. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice P. Cooper, two brothers, George H. Cooper and Richard F. Cooper, one sister, Maude Smythe. He was the former City Manager of Union City, Pa. and a longtime member of the Southwest Diners Club in Roanoke. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Keith K. and Ruth D. Cooper, Roanoke; one grandson, Jeffrey L. Cooper and his wife, Michele, Sewell, N.J., three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jameson Cooper, Sewell, N.J., and Roderick Staunton, Syracuse, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Union City, Pa. Local arrangements are by Oakey's South Chapel.
