OBIT LUCAS, DR. DAVIS CRAIG
LUCAS, Dr. Davis Craig, 68, of Cloverdale, died Thursday, June 3, 1993. Dr.
Lucas did undergraduate studies at Hampton-Sydney College, John Carroll
University, and the University of Michigan, and received his medical degree
from the University of Virginia. He was a member of the A.O.A., National
Honors Medical Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Fraternity, and the Raven Society. He
was a practicing physician for 31 years in Roanoke until his retirement in
1987 due to illness. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne T. Lucas; one son,
John Thomas Lucas, Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Elizabeth Bullock, Cary,
N.C., Jeanne McNeil, Chesapeake, Anne Pruden Lucas, Cloverdale; his
stepmother, Mrs. Julia B. Lucas, Blacksburg; one brother, Samuel Lucas,
Radford; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 5,
2:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas of Canterbury Anglican Catholic Church with the
Rt. Rev. William deJarnette Rutherfoord, Bishop of the Mid Atlantic States
officiating. Interment will be private in Lawrenceville. Arrangements by Rader
Funeral Home, Troutville.
