Winning Best in Show was Roanoke artist Ben Flora for an untitled mixed media piece. Flora picked up a $500 cash prize as a reward.
Five $200 Awards of Excellence were presented to Susan Bidwell of Huddleston for her photograph ``Breakfast Feud''; Carolyn Eyler of Abingdon for ``March!'', a three-dimensional piece of wood, lights and paper; Page Hazelgrove, originally from Roanoke, for her glass sculpture titled ``Container/Contained''; Jim Hudson of Boones Mill for ``Bowling Ball Table''; and Peggy Ann Turner of Blacksburg for ``Women's Repair Kit.''
The show was judged by John Perreault, senior curator of the American Craft Museum.
A $100 prize is yet to be awarded. This is the People's Choice for Best in Show, and will be chosen by museum visitors.
