Dale Spickard, father of groom, was the best man. The groomsmen were Sonny Spickard, brother of groom, Stephen Compton, brother of bride, John Ribble, uncle of groom, Keith Spickard, cousin of groom, Steven Osborne, and Todd Schaberg, friends of groom. Erik Wampler, nephew of groom, was the ring bearer.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Compton, Jr. of Troutville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ada Gay of Yorktown, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Compton of Hampton, Va. She graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and Radford University with a degree in Mathematics. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale N. Spickard of Blue Ridge. Honored guests were Miss Lois Spickard and Mrs. Ruth Spickard, aunts of groom. The groom graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and Roanoke College with a degree in Business Administration. He is employed by CMC Supply, Inc. Following the wedding trip, the couple will live in Blue Ridge
