BENNETT, Eldridge W., 55, USA retired (S.F.C.), of Roanoke, passed away June 3, 1993. He is survived by two sons, Eldridge W. Bennett Jr., Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, Bruce J. Bennett, Roanoke; daughters, Edwina D. Austin, Ft. Gordon, Ga., Sharon L. Doughten, Roanoke; brothers, Edward T. Bennett, Roanoke, Richie R. Bennett, Roanoke, Charles H. Bennett, Salem; sisters, Lucy Chisom, Dorothy Hogan, Evelyn Sledd, Virginia Smith, all of Roanoke, Connie Pharr, Atlanta, Ga., Gladys Burdette, Trusselville, Ala.; grandson, Shawn D. Bennett, Shane T. Bennett, both of Ft. Gordon, Ga. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at Cedar Lawn Burial Park with the Rev. Robert Lanier officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
