BRATTON, Helen Canty, 71, of Roanoke, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, June 5, 1993. Survivors include her husband, James H. ("Jimmy") Bratton, Roanoke; stepson, James G. Bratton and wife, Doris, Jamacia, N.Y.; one brother, John Canty Jr. and wife, Jean; two brothers-in-law, Masceo Bratton and Madison Hawkins, all of Roanoke; five sisters-in-law, Juanita Archer, Geneva Archer and husband, Harry, Almeeds Bratton, all of Catawba, Ethel Freeman, Shirley White and husband, Robert, all of Salem; two aunts, Ordelee Smith and Veola Dunning, both of Roanoke; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
