OBIT BROWN, SAMUEL WILLIAM

BROWN, Samuel William, 43, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, June 3, 1993, at his residence. He was born in Bedford County on July 15, 1949, a son of the late, John P. ("Buddy") Brown and Mable Flood Brown. He was a data entry clerk for Blue Cross Blue Shield, a member of the Otterville Baptist Church, a member of the usher board, the gospel chorus and the brotherhood club. He is survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wright, Mrs. Pauline Stevens, Mrs. Virginia Calloway, Mrs. Frances Coles, Mrs. Gloria Holt, all of Bedford, Mrs. Mary Coles, Lynchburg, Mrs. Geraldine Spinner, Goode; two brothers, James L. Brown, Bedford Charles H. Brown, Verona; thirty-three nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 6, 1993, at 2 p.m. from the Otterville Baptist Church by the Rev. M. D. Mays. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
