OBIT CALDWELL, GEORGE PERRY

CALDWELL, George Perry, Sr., 76, of Route 2, Rocky Mount, died Saturday June 5, 1993, in the local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Vaught Caldwell and son James Caldwell. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Perry and Sally Caldwell, Billy and Brenda Caldwell, all of Rocky Mount, Andy and Hilda Caldwell, Thaxton; three daughters and one son-in-law, Betty Hairfield, Nancy Guthrie, Judy and Alfred Hall, all of Rocky Mount; one daughter-in-law, Catherine Lampkin, Wirtz; two brothers, Dillard Caldwell, Blacksburg, Clarence Caldwell, Rocky Mount; two sisters, Ocie Mae Fain, Emma Vaught, both of Blacksburg; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; special friends, M.T. and Audrey Mitchell. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. T. Ivey Adams Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Long Shop Harles Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St. Rocky Mount.
