OBIT UMBERGER, THADDEUS ODELL

UMBERGER, Thaddeus Odell, 93, of Route 1, Wytheville, died Friday, June 4, 1993, at his residence. He was a well-known Wythe County Farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Crabtree Umberger. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Aleene Niday of Bland, Va.; three sons, B.C. Umberger, Owen Umberger, Ned Umberger, all of Wytheville; one brother, Conrad H. Umberger of Wytheville; fourteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 6, 1993, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Joseph Shumate, with the interment in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The family did receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. The Grubb Funeral Home is charge of arrangements.
