OBIT ATKINSON, JACK EDWARDI
ATKINSON, Jack Edward, 71, of Fincastle, died Saturday, June 5, 1993. He
was a member of the Fincastle Baptist Church, Catawba Masonic Lodge #342 A.F.
& A.M. and was a retired Va. State Trooper with 27 years of service. He is
survived by his wife, Kathryn O. Atkinson; one son, Jack E. Atkinson Jr. of
Christiansburg; one daughter, Sandy A. Wells of Buchanan; two grandchildren,
Sarah Arehart, Kimberly Rea Hall; two great-grandchildren, Amanda Arehart and
Tyler Dalton Hall. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 3 p.m. at
the Rader Troutville Chapel with the Rev. John Armitstead officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. Graveside Masonic Rites will
be conducted by the Catawba Lodge #342. The family will receive friends Monday
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations be made to the Fincastle or Buchanan Rescue Squad.
