OBIT OLIVER, IDA HARVILLE

OLIVER, Ida Harville, 94, of Bedford, died Saturday, June 5, 1993, in a local nursing home. She was formerly of Glen Allen, Va., and was born in Carson, Va. on July 29, 1898, a daughter of the late Edgar Thomas Harville and Eva Ann Moore Harville. She was the widow of Charles Henry Oliver Sr., and was a member of Bedford Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles H. Oliver Jr. and Sara Carter Oliver, Bedford; a sister, Thelma H. Bransford, Fork Union; two granddaughters, Sherry Oliver Eales, Roanoke, Sue Oliver Kell, Charlottesville; six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 8, 1993, at 2 p.m. at Bedford Baptist Church with Dr. Ron R. Blankenship officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests those wishing to make memorials consider the Bedford Baptist Church Memorial Fund. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, following the service in the church parlor, and at other times at the son's residence on Mountain View Drive. Arrangements are being handled by Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
