OBIT HARNER, ELMO RUDOLPH
HARNER, Elmo Rudolph, 81, of 710 Tazewell St., Wytheville, died Sunday,
June 6, 1993, in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was a retired boiler
maker, Local 193, Baltimore, a member of the Wytheville Baptist Church, and a
member of the Bland Masonic Lodge #206 AF & AM. He was preceded in death by
his parents, Aubrey Arthur and Mae Neal Harner, and a sister, Floriene
Suthers. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lambert Harner of Wytheville,
Va.; one daughter, Peggy Harner Kinzer of Greensboro, N.C.; one son, Thomas
Rudolph Harner of Washington D.C.; four sisters, Helen Pricer of Detroit,
Mich., Hazel Neel of Galax, Va., Cathryn Carter of Hampton, Va., Phyllis
Repass of Wytheville; two brothers, Lilburn Harner of Barefoot Bay, Fla., Neil
Harner of Hillsville, Va.; three grandchildren, Christopher Bane Kinzer,
Jennifer Lou Kinzer, Lucinda Rebecca Kinzer. A graveside service will be
Wednesday, 2 p.m., in the Red Oak Church Cemetery, Ceres, Va., conducted by
the Rev. Dr. Barry W. Losey. The family will receive friends at the Grubb
Funeral Home Tuesday, June 8, 1993, from 7 to 9 p.m. The Bland Masonic Lodge
#206 AF & AM will conduct a memorial service at the Grubb Funeral Home Tuesday
at 8 p.m. The Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
