OBIT JONAS, NILE B.
JONAS, Nile B., 98, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 6, 1993. He was a
member of the Berean Bible Class, Huntington Court United Methodist Church,
was a retired employee of Colonial-American National Bank, and a member of
Williamson Road Lodge #163 A.F. & A.M. He was predeceased by one son and
daughter-in-law, Reginald and Peggy Jonas, Cary, N.C. Surviving are his wife,
Mrs. Ocie M. Jonas; one daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Tim Timmons,
Forest; one sister, Mrs. Cecile J. Miller, Salem; five grandchildren, Captain
Steven R. Timmons, and wife, Leisa, Tucson, Ariz., David E. Timmons, and wife,
Julia, Lynchburg, John R. Timmons, Ardmore, Pa., Vicki Jonas Wilson, and
husband, Ken, Solomon, Md., Randall D. Jonas, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; six
great-grandchildren, Meagan, Jessica, John Colby, Seth and Susanna Timmons,
Amanda Jonas; a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at
Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, with the Rev. Bradford
L. Phillips officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
