OBIT CAVES, HELEN SECRIST
CAVES, Helen Secrist, 64, of 3600 block of Algonquin Court, Virginia Beach,
died Sunday, June 6, 1993, in a local hospital. Mrs. Secrist was a homemaker
and was of the Methodist faith. She was born in Roanoke where she was a 1947
graduate of William Fleming High School and a member of the National Beta
Club. Surviving are her husband, MG4SGT Raymond Caves, USMC (Retired) of
Virginia Beach; one daughter, Carolyn Caves Labanowski of Indian Head, Md.;
two sons, Ronald Lee Caves of Raleigh, N.C., Roger Wayne Caves of San Diego,
Calif.; one sister, Aileen Ridgeway of Knoxville, Tenn.; three brothers,
William Alfred Secrist and Douglas Secrist, both of Roanoke, Clarence Secrist
of Wilmington, N.C., predeceased by brother, Richard Secrist; one grandson;
one great-grandson; five granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at the
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel on Wednesday, June 9, 1993, at 2
p.m. with Dr. Lee H. Beville officiating. The burial will be at Princess Anne
Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
