In 1964, our government was vigorously pushing the famous "domino theory." Remember? Some of us didn't buy it.
I've noticed a certain residual anger seething in many Vietnam veterans, and I understand it. Our men and women returned to a country to be convinced that 10 years of war had amounted to a calamitous exercise in futility, waste and bad judgment.
Does anyone here feel in any way threatened by North Vietnam? If there is a threat, it may not be military but rather commercial.
