NEBRASKA LATEST TO SET ABORTION WAITING PERIOD

Nebraska became the third state this year to pass a bill requiring a waiting period before an abortion, with the Legislature voting Tuesday in favor of a 24-hour delay.

The measure also requires that women receive information about fetal development and abortion alternatives.
