OBIT BOONE, BRIAN DAVID

BOONE, Brian David, 23, of Route 1, Wirtz, died Sunday evening, June 6, 1993. He was a 1987 graduate of Franklin County High School, and attended Virginia Western Community College, and Virginia College. He was employed with David and Derron Layman. Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathers, I. C. Boone, and Elder W. M. Holland. Surviving are his parents, Roy and Jo Ann H. Boone; one brother, R. Benjamin Boone Jr., Blacksburg; one sister, Cynthia Boone, Wirtz; grandmothers, Mrs. Maggie E. Boone, Wirtz, Mrs. Nellie B. Holland, Rocky Mount; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; a special friend, Mendy Keiber. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, with Elder W. Lane Carter and Elder Robert Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be made to the Red Valley Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main Street, Rocky Mount.
