OBIT ROBERTS, PERCY R.
ROBERTS, Percy R., 67, of Buena Vista, died Monday, June 7, 1993, in
Stonewall Jackson Hospital. He was born in Amherst County on March 22, 1926,
the son of Corva Vent Roberts of Buena Vista, and the late George Roberts. He
was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, a member of the
American Legion, and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Buena
Vista. He was owner of Pipe and Plate Fabricators. He is survived by his wife,
Elsie Chittum Roberts, Buena Vista; six sisters, Mildred R. Clark, Waynesboro,
Louise R. Worley, Natural Bridge, Barbara R. Camden and Rosa R. Chittum, both
of Lexington, Jean R. Horne and Mary R. Watts, both of Buena Vista; three
brothers, Ralph Roberts, Elmer Roberts and David Roberts, all of Buena Vista;
many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday
from the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Buena Vista with the Rev. David Bain
and the Rev. George Flowers officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax
Funeral Home.
