SMITH, Donna Gay, 39, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday morning, June 9, 1993,
in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Brandy Nichole Black, of
the home; one son, Glen Alan Black, Roanoke; six sisters, Carolyn Wright,
Roanoke, Margaret Neece, Florida, Mary Swaney, Shawsville, Brenda Dotson,
Rocky Mount, Myrtle Smith, Thaxton, Sandra Hurd, Roanoke; three brothers,
George Phoenix, Roy Phoenix, both of Shawsville, Charles Phoenix, Bedford;
several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m.
Friday at Mountain View Memorial Park with Harold Morris officiating. The
family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Flora Funeral
Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
