REPORTED EARNINGS

Richfood Holdings Inc., Richmond-based food wholesaler, on Thursday reported its fourth consecutive fiscal year of record net earnings: $15.8 million, or $1.51 per share, up 15 percent from $13.8 million, or $1.32 per share, for fiscal 1992. The net after-tax margin was 1.45 percent compared to 1.29 percent last year. Sales were $1.09 billion, up 2.1 percent from $1.07 billion for 1992.

For the fourth quarter ended May 1, net earnings were $4.9 million, or 46 cents per share, up 3.6 percent from $5.1 million, or 49 cents per share, for the 1992 quarter. Sales were $370.8 million against $338.9 million in the 1992 quarter.
