CULT-AWARENESS WORKSHOP JUNE 29

The Mental Health Association of Montgomery County will sponsor a free cult-awareness workshop June 29 at 7 p.m. at Montgomery Regional Hospital. A panel will focus on why cults develop, profile typical cult members and explore cults' impact on members and their loved ones.

Panelists will be state police Special Agent T.S. Svard on legal aspects of cults, the Rev. Jack Van Curen with historical and religious viewpoints, and Gwen Polidero of St. Albans Psychiatric Hospital with a psychological interpretation.
