OBIT-HARRISON, CLETIS C. ("DOOK")

HARRISON, Cletis C. ("Dook"), 64, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, June 9, 1993, in the Salem Veterans Hospital. He was born May 13, 1929, a son of the late Tyler and Myrtle Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a retired carpenter, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Horace Harrison, Vester Harrison, and Everette Harrison. Surviving are his wife, Elsie Law Harrison; two sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Cletis (Jack) and Gloria Harrison, Rocky Mount, Daniel Clyde and Becky Harrison, Big Island; three granddaughters, Heather Harrison, Rocky Mount, Melissa Harrison, Big Island, and Julie Harrison, Rocky Mount; two brothers, Claude (Chunk) Harrison, Billy Harrison, both of Rocky Mount; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nannie Kate Shields, Winston-Salem, N.C., Exie and Roosevelt Dillon, Barbara and Ronald Doss, all of Rocky Mount; three sisters-in-law, Estelle Harrison, Rocky Mount, Edna Harrison, Glade Hill, and Corina Harrison, Rocky Mount; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 1993, at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Hazelwood and the Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call anytime after noon, Friday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
