OBIT-HODGES, EMMETT GORDON SR.
HODGES, Emmett Gordon Sr., 84, of Pembroke, died Thursday, June 10, 1993,
in a Salem nursing facility. He was born in Franklin County, March 22, 1909, a
son of the late, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a member of the
Pembroke Christian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II, and a
lifetime member of Castle Rock Lodge #334, A.F.&A.M. in Pembroke. He was
preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Collins Hodges. Surviving are his son
and daughter-in-law, E. Gordon and Pamela Marshall Hodges of Pulaski; two
granddaughters, Kristi and Kellie Hodges, both of Pulaski. Funeral services
will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Pembroke Christian Church with
the Rev. Barry Franklin and the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will be
in Burchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the
Kendall Funeral Home, Pembroke, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
