OBIT-HUDGINS, BANKS EDWIN

HUDGINS, Banks Edwin, 81, of Jekyll Island, Ga., died Wednesday, June 9, 1993 at his residence. A native of Roanoke, he had been a resident of Jekyll Island, Ga. for the past 20 years coming to Jekyll Island from Ohio. He was a member of the Jekyll Island Methodist Church, was a Mason and a member of Ocean Lodge 214, Royal Arch Shriner, Alee Temple, Sand Dollars Club on Jekyll Island, Ga., was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy and was retired Regional Service Manager with General Motors after 25 years service. He is survived by his wife, Frances Bosang Hudgins; six nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at Jekyll Island Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Mason officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Jekyll Island Methodist Church.
