ROANOKER WRITES MARCH FOR FESTIVAL

Johnson, who has written pieces for symphony orchestras, jazz groups, concert and marching bands and vocal and instrumental ensembles, was commissioned to write ``GABBF March'' for this year's festival, which is expected to draw about 30,000 people.

Johnson also has written music for several half-time performances of the nationally televised Super Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Shine Bowl football games. He is professor emeritus of Central Arizona College, where he was on the faculty for 15 years.
