SWAT SWIMMER LEADS HIS TEAM

James Wolfe captured the 13-and-over distance pentathlon to lead a contingent of six swimmers from the Blacksburg-based South West Aquatic Team at the recent Stingray Pentathlon meet.

Wolfe won the 400-meter individual medley, 200 backstroke, 200 freestyle and 200 butterfly, setting senior team records in each event. He finished second in the 200 breaststroke.

Wolfe's cumulative time for the five races was 14 minutes, 28.62 seconds.

Other SWAT winners included Betina Chan in the age 15-18, B Division, 100 freestyle; Andrew Dorsey in the 13-14, B Division, 100 butterfly; and Ellen Dorsey in the 11-12, C Division, 50 backstroke.
