YOUTH TRACK MEET TODAY

The Pulaski Parks and Recreation Department will be host for the regional Hershey's Youth track meet today at Pulaski County High School.

Teams from throughout the region will compete in field events (standing long jump and softball throw), running events (50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600 meters) and the team 400-meter relay.

The meet begins at 10 a.m.

Teams are composed of first and second place finishers in local meets.

Boys and girls compete in three different age groups: 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14.

The top two finishers in each event qualify for the state finals, July 10 at the University of Virginia.
