Because of an editorial assistant's error, two events were mistakenly left in Friday's Calendar of Events. The Blacksburg Saddle Club Fun Day Horse Show and the Smith Mountain Lake State Park Interpretive Hike were last weekend.

Because of a reporter's error, Leigh-Ann Pursiful of Floyd County was left off the track honor roll in the girls' shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 9 1/2 inches in the Group A state tournament.

Because of a reporter's error, a quote in the story about the Jefferson Forest-Richlands game in some editions of Friday's paper was incorrectly attributed. It was Brian Piccolo who said: "I was just trying to look out for the curveball. That's what he'd gotten me with the last time."
