Hunter, a first-team All-Timesland and second-team All-Group AA selection, averaged 22 points as a senior for the Mountaineers.
"He did it all for them," Ferrum coach Bill Pullen said. "He shoots 3-pointers, takes it to the hole . . . we're really excited to get him."
Pullen said he expects Hunter, who is 6-foot-2, to play as a freshman because the Panthers use three guards. He should be a major contributor in subsequent years because Walter Webb and Jerry Scarborough will be seniors and rising junior Quincy Quick may graduate in three years.
Pullen also has received a commitment from 6-9, 225-pound Toby Blair of Towson, Md. Blair played last season for ex-Pullen assistant Michael Byrne at Hargrave Military Academy.
