OBIT REASER, MARY ALICE HOWARD

REASER, Mary Alice Howard, 81, of 1005 Hinton Street, Princeton, W Va., died on Thursday, June 10, 1993, in a Princeton hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the former Princeton Mayor, Emory J. Reaser. She was born on November 26, 1911, in Ronceverte, W Va., and was the daughter of the late George A. and Mary Ramesy Howard. She had married Mr. Reaser on November 29, 1933. She was a graduate of Greenbriar High School, and attended Marshall University. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1945 and had been a member of the First United Methodist Church since that time. Through the years, she had served as Methodist Youth Fellowship director, president of the United Methodist Women who presented her a life membership several years ago. She had also served in several UMW District offices through the years. She had been a member of the Myrtle Bane Circle at the church for more than forty years. She had also been a member of the Princeton Women's Club for more than forty years and had served that group as president for several terms. In addition, she was a member of the Princeton Forum Club, a literary study group. In addition, to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Emory J. (Buddy) and Kay Reaser of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Rosanna Reaser of Princeton, W Va. and Radford; and one grandson, Michael Howard Reaser of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Virginia Overholt, Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Thelma Howard of Ronceverte; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. June 12, 1993, at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home Chapel in Princeton, W Va. with Rev. Clifford Schell officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, W Va. with Dr. Cecil McMillion officiating.
