COMER-ASBURY

Georgette Renee Asbury and Robbie Hampton Comer were united in marriage on May 29, 1993, at 7:00 in the evening in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem. Father James E. Parke was the officiating clergyman. Thereception was held at the Roanoke County Woman's Club in Salem, Virginia.

Angela Brown Whalen, friend of the bride, of Radford, Virginia, served asmatron of honor. The bridesmaids were Jessica Muncy, friend of the bride; Donna Pollard, friend of the bride; and Cherie Wright, sister of the groom. MissAlexandra Hope Bowles served as the flower girl. Paul Comer, brother of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Thomas E. Asbury, II, brother of the bride; Robert M. Moses, friend of the bride; and W. Douglas Muncy, friend of the groom. Mr. Adam Raymond Wright, nephew of the groom, served as ringbearer.

Michelle Bowles, friend of the bride, was the soloist. Kimberly Asbury,sister-in-law of the bride, was guestbook attendant. Mrs. Sherry Moses served as coordinator. Mrs. Carol Edwardsprepared the flowers. Video by Mr. Eric Whalen and Photography by Jim Markey.

Georgette is the daughter of Ms. Mary A. Asbury of Roanoke and Mr. T. Edward Asbury of Goodview, Virginia. She is a graduate of Northside High School and attended the University of Virginia.Robbie is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Comer of Roanoke. He graduated from William Byrd High School and was in the U.S. Army.

Following a trip to Jamaica, thecouple will reside in Roanoke.
