RAMSEY-UNDERWOOD

Sharon Leigh Underwood and Dean Alan Ramsey were united in marriage on June 12, 1993, at New Life TemplePentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Walter Wood, Jr. officiating. The reception followed in the churchfellowship hall.

Karen Strom, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lori Morgan, sister of the groom, StefanieLugar, Tara Meier, Stacey Parr, Pam Riddleberger, and Patty Yeager, all friends of the bride. Tori Bowman, cousin of the groom, was flowergirl.

Ernie Ramsey, father of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen wereDarin Ramsey, brother of the groom, Eric Morgan, brother-in-law of the groom,Jonathan Underwood, brother of the bride, Ronnie Fugate, Keith Frantz, and Tony Trieu, all friends of the groom. Keith Ramsey, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer. Candlelighters were Chris andJason Underwood, brothers of the bride.

Guestbook attendants were Susan and Wendy Coggsdale, friends of the bride. Soloist was Amy Remcho, friend of the bride. Guest of honor was Alice Moore, friend of the bride. Following the ceremony a sword presentation was performed by SGTMAJ Weldon Dinkel, USMC (Ret.), 1STLT Peter Finan, USMC, 2NDLT Brian Jones, USMC, 2NDLT Steve Ridenhour, 2NDLT Brian Rueger, USMC, and 2NDLT Mike Starling, USMC.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winston Underwood, graduated from Northside High School and RadfordUniversity and is a Registered Nurse. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. ErnieRamsey, graduated from WilliamFleming High School and VirginiaMilitary Institute and is a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Following their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Quantico, Virginia.
